Breakfast will be on board. Today we will visit Aswan High Dam which was built in 1960. It contains 18 times the material used in great pyramids of Cheops. The dam 11,811 feet long, 3215 feet thick at the base and 363 feet tall. Today it provides irrigation and electricity for the whole of Egypt proceed to the Unfinished Obelisk much of the red granite used for the ancient temples and colossi came from quarries in the Aswan area. Around these quarries are many inscriptions, many of which describing successful quarrying projects. The Unfinished Obelisk located in the northern quarry still lies where a crack was discovered as it was being hewn form the rock. It could have weight over 2.3 million pound and have been the world largest piece of stone ever handled, but a crack occurred, which caused it to be abandoned. Then we will visit the beautiful Philae temple rising form the water of the Nile. Lunch will be on M/S Nile Dolphin Nile Cruise board while we sail to kom ombo well visit kom ombo temple (the Ptolemaic temple of sobek & heronries),located in the town of kom ombo, about 28 miles north of Aswan the temple dates back to Ptolemy’s, built on a high dune overlooking the Nile. The actual temple was started by Ptolemy VI philometor in the early second century BC.ptolemy Xlll built the outer and inner hypostyle halls. The outer enclosure well and part of the court was built by Augustus sometime after 30 BC. There are also tombs form the old kingdom in the vicinity of kom ombo village. Return back to Cruise. Relax on the deck and watch primitive village on the banks of the river glide. This morning, we visit edfu’s beautiful preserved edfu temple the temple is also known as hour’s temple, the falcon edfu temple (hour’s temple) god, built in (237BC) during the reigns of six Ptolemy’s edfu temple is considered the best-preserved temple in ancient Egypt and the second largest after Karnack Temple lunch will be on board. For the past 3400 years (since 1350BC) they have stood in the Theban necropolis, across the river Nile form the modern city of Luxor and will go to the Valley of the Kings and Queens to visit Hatshepsut temple, located beneath the cliffs at deir el bahari on the west bank of the Nile near the valley of the kings in Egypt. The mortuary temple is dedicated to the sun god amon-ra and is located next to the mortuary temple of mentuhotep ii, which served both as an inspiration, and later, a quarry. Lunch will be at local restaurant. And then we will tour the awe inspiring temple of Luxor, was founded in 1400 BCE and built with sandstone form the Gebel el-silsila area, which is located in south- western Egypt. And then we will continue to visit Karnack Temple which comprises a vast mix of decayed Temples, chapels, pylons and other buildings in the reign of sesostris I in the middle kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic period

After Breakfast, we view the Aswan High Dam, an embankment dam situated across the Nile River in Aswan, and then we will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt in Aswan. Archaeologists are unsure which pharaoh created this structure.it is nearly on third larger than any ancient Egypt Obelisk ever erected. If finished it would have measured around 42 m (approximately137feet) and would have weighed nearly 1,2oo tons (1,066,621 kilograms). Lunch will be on M/S Nile Dolphin Nile Cruise board. Pm, we will sail by traditional Nile felucca along the shores of elephantine island and Philae temple at Philae island. Philae Island was a rocky Island in the middle of the river Nile, south of Aswan. It was called in hieroglyphic ‘Apo which means lvory.it was also known by the Greek ‘elephantine’, most probably because it was an important center of trade, especially for ivory. The ancient Egyptian built a beautiful and magnificent temple on this island for the goddess Isis, but the temple became submerged after the first Aswan dam was built in 1906, and it was not until the seventies that many nations attempted to save the temple. All these countries, together with UNESCO, selected a suitable place, but they had to wait until the completion of the high dam, in 1971 which would stabilize the level of the water around their chosen island. Dinner and overnight will be on board.
